Established in 1909 by Sir Robert Baden Powell after a desire to have a female version of the Boy Scouts, the Brownies is one of the sections of the Girl Guiding organisation. Brownies is designed to train girls in discipline and respect, to build up their confidence and to help them to have strong and lasting friendships with other girls, whilst having an amazing time along the way. It is a great environment for girls to bond and learn together, without barriers or prejudice.
Brownies meet on a Monday at 6pm, for all girls aged between 7 and 10. For more information contact Brown Owl Fiona Chapman on fionachapman (at) yahoo.co.uk
