Schools Work
Over the past year I have participate in some of the local schools assemblies and activities and really enjoy being a part of the school community, I am looking forward to the opportunities that are to come this year.
Church Work
Sunday School
Children’s work on a Sunday morning
‘To help children of all ages grow in a Christian faith and strengthen the worshipping family’
0-3 years - Crèche now available
3-6 years - Sunday school group
6- 9 years - Sunday school group
10- 14 years - Sunday school group
15+years - Youth group
These groups will be running on a Sunday morning, separated by age.
For Children under 3 years old there will be a crèche available each week, giving parents an opportunity to leave their Children with CRB checked adults whist they enjoy the service.
All Children are welcome to attend and there is an addition of the tweenagers group for 10 to 14 years
Children's Church
Childrens Church is going to be running once a month on 3rd Sunday starting from 17th October
This is an hours activities for the children of all ages to take part in from 10am till 11am. the Children can enjoy having space to get to know God better in a more interactive environment. we look forward to the launch of this event.
Community Work
This is where we work with other churches and charities and schools- We recently run, along with 4 other Churches in Upminster, a scripture union event called Lifepath that was hosted by the church. Children in upminster Junior School in year 5 and 6, came to the church for the whole day and learnt more about an important person in Christianity whilst doing fun activities. Scripture union and the local churches are looking forward to working with the school again next year. We are currently collecting items for Operation Christmas Child

There are a variety of things that we have done over the last few months
Beetle Game
A competitive came that relies on dice to roll in the right way for you, this was an event enjoyed but the helpers and children (pictures are available)
Desert Detectives this summer we hosted our first Holiday club in the church for children aged 5-11 years old and ran from 10am till 12pm finishing with a barbeque. (again pictures are available for this event if there could be an area for a picture gallery)
Up and Coming Events
The Desert detectives will be getting together for a detective reunion, it will be an afternoon of activities and fun on 16th October 2010. application forms are available from the church or from the website or through contacting Sarah Harris. (for the children that attended the holiday club the poster/ application form is attached to the email.)
Tuesday Evening Groups
We are setting up a new group on a Tuesday evening for children of 7-10 to attend and then a group after for 10-14’s to be a part of. This will be starting from 28th September and we are looking forward to getting those invites out to people in the next few weeks. The times for the younger group will be 6pm- 7.15pm, the older group will be 7.45pm till 9pm.
